WALL OF HONOUR DINNERWALL OF HONOUR DINNER
There were over 400 fans and alumni on hand October 27th as they all gathered to honour Paul Osbaldiston and Pete Neumann's induction into the Wall of Honour. The event was highlighted with entertaining speeches from both honouree's as well as a cheque presentation from the Alumni Association to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada for $6,500 Previous Wall of Honour Inductees in attendance were Tommy Joe Coffey, Joe Zuger, Less Browne, Rocky DiPietro, Ellison Kelly, Ben Zambiasi and Angelo Mosca. Many other alumni were also on hand including; Leo Ezerins, Zeno Karcz, Bob Krouse, Bill Kyle, Dave Lane, Terry Lehne, Bob Richardson, Ralph Scholz and Glenn Timlock. Attendees were able to bid on a variety of autographed sports memorabilia and get their picture taken with the Grey Cup!
Osbaldiston won two Grey Cups with Hamilton while setting numerous kicking records during his 17 year career. Neumann, a St. Catharines native played with the Ticats from 1951-1964 capturing three Grey Cups and was elected into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1979.
LABOUR DAY FOOD DRIVELABOUR DAY FOOD DRIVEThe Alumni helped organize the Annual Food Drive for the Labour Day Classic against the Montreal Alouettes. Almost 27,000 fans showed up to help cheer on the Club to victory and donate groceries and cash to the equivalent of 86,400 lbs of food for Hamilton Food Share.! This far exceeds last years total of 50,465 lbs. Many Alumni were on hand to help out including President Terry Lehne, Bob Richardson, Glenn Timlock, Angelo Mosca, and Jim Hyk. Special thanks also to Purolator Courier with their Tackle Hunger campaign and all their help and support.
ALUMNI GOLF DAYALUMNI GOLF DAYThe Annual Hamilton Tiger-Cat Alumni Golf Tournament was held on June 13th at Kings Forest Club. For the first time the event was sold out with over 30 Tiger-Cat and CFL Alumni participating. We thank all of you that came out to support our event, especially our sponsors.
